Tree Planting Program

Over the past 13 years, CRC and our volunteers have planted more than 10,000 native shrubs and trees throughout the three watersheds, reforesting riparian buffers, adding habitat for creatures near the streams, benefitting water quality, and providing shade to cool the water in the creeks.

We continue to be supported generously by the State of Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, as well as a number of local corporations and foundations. CRC plants trees at two to four sites in the spring and fall of each year, and is dedicated to revisiting past planting sites to maintain the native trees and shrubs while removing invasive plant species.
