Donating Stock

The donation of appreciated stock is another way to invest in the mission of CRC, and it may provide certain tax advantages. Please get in touch with sandra@crcwatersheds.org to learn more.

Donor-Advised Funds

Donor-advised funds (DAFs) are flexible donation vehicles that allow organizations, families, and individuals to manage donations to a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

Grants directed to CRC from donor-advised funds may be made payable as checks to:

Bequests & Planned Gifts

You can support our watersheds’ clean water now and into the future with your estate plan.  No matter the size of your estate or age, your will empowers you to name the organizations, such as CRC, that can put your assets to work for good.  We encourage you to consider a generous gift that will benefit our community watersheds for generations to come.

The simplest and most common planned gift is naming "Chester Ridley Crum Watersheds Association" as a beneficiary in your will, IRA, qualified retirement plan, or life insurance policy.  These options are revocable and they do not affect your current finances.  They can, however, in the future create a lasting impact on the watersheds, community, and environment you care about.

Sample bequest language: I bequeath _% of my residuary estate (or $_) to Chester Ridley Crum Watersheds Association, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) charitable organization, located in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, for its ongoing tree plantings, stream cleanups, and other programs. Federal Tax I.D. number: 23-7099008.

IRAs

It is possible to make a “Qualified Charitable Contribution” (QCD) from one’s “Traditional IRA.”  The tax benefit of making a QCD is that one pays no income tax on the distribution amount that is credited towards one’s required minimum distribution.  Any QCD must be paid directly by the IRA Trustee to the qualified charity — such as CRC.

QCDs are only available to individuals who are now 70½ years of age or older.  The amount of a QCD is limited to the amount that would otherwise be included as income — therefore, only the amount that would otherwise have been taxable will be allowed as a QCD.

Thank you for considering gifts that keep on giving!
