CRC’s Education and Outreach program provides opportunities for community members, with a variety of interests and ability-levels, to get engaged with the environment. As part of Education and Outreach, CRC also collaborates with municipalities to educate communities about stormwater management practices.

Trees in Color Nature Walk (Nov. 2023)

We learned about a variety of ornamental and native trees in their peak fall color at Oakbourne Park with a Certified Arborist and CRC Board Member, Michael Shreiner.

Fall Migratory Bird Walk (Oct. 2023)

Co-sponsored by Bird Town PA, Newtown Square, the Newtown Square EAC, Garrett Williamson and CRC, local bird experts led this excellent walk to observe a variety of species of birds during Fall Migration.

Science on Tap: Where Your Drinking Water Comes From! (Oct. 2023)

Aqua's Krista Seng ‘demystified’ the process from stream to tap and gave a behind-the-scenes look into what it takes to bring you clean drinking water. She also discussed actions we can take to ensure water quality in our homes and in our waterways.

Joan Maloof at Grace Winery (Sep. 2023)

This was an evening for environment-lovers to come together to learn about the forests we care about so much. Joan discussed the history of our forests globally, the ecological importance of our ancient forests, and her reasons for founding the Old-Growth Forest Network.

Stream Walk with CRC & Willistown Conservation Trust (Aug. 2023)

Lauren McGrath, WCT’s Director of Watershed Program, led an informative walk through Ashbridge Preserve all about the value of our region's headwater streams. Lauren and her team shared the lessons learned about the impact of land protection and restoration on water quality through a variety of research projects.
