Creek: ridley
Caption: Mills at Rose Valley residents, many of whom are CRC members, joined other CRC volunteers and Joe Gargano from Starbucks Media in planting 100 trees and shrubs along Kincaid Mills Tributary and Ridley Creek on October 20, 2007. This planting was one of five "TreeVitalize" grants completed by CRC this year. Over the past five years, "Mills" residents, especially landscaping committee members, have worked together with CRC in substantially eliminating Japanese knotweed and other invasive plants from over five acres of streamside buffer along Ridley Creek. Over 300 trees and shrubs have been planted under five grants, and Mills volunteers have worked hard with CRC in maintaining these areas. Mills residents should congratulate themselves on a job well done!
