Creek: Chester

Despite a Hillary Clinton rally in West Chester a mere two blocks away, the 3rd Annual Chester Creek Cleanup drew 187 volunteers were out in full force at five locations in the West Chester Area. In the Borough itself, 83 volunteers, including Borough residents and West Chester University faculty and students, removed 2 tons of trash from along the Goose Creek corridor. Eight employees of Sartomer Company also cleaned their section of Goose Creek. In West Goshen, 50 volunteers filled 3/4 of a 40 cubic yard dumpster ( 2,600 pounds) from the uppermost reaches of Goose Creek. In East Goshen, 33 volunteers, including 19 members of the Church of Christ of Philadelphia, based in Aston, planted 78 trees at the Reservoir Road Restoration site. In Westtown, Friends of Oakbourne had their annual Arbor Day planting in Oakbourne Park.
