Fishing in Crum Creek
The West Branch of Crum Creek, the East Branch and the Main Stem of Crum Creek in Willistown, support a native brown trout population (DEP, 1997). The lower and middle watersheds support a mix of cool and warm water fish.
Public Fishing Access
Fishing access for Crum Creek is more limited than with Chester and Ridley Creeks. The area with most abundant warm water (bass) fishing, the Springton Reservoir, is presently closed to fishing. Another popular fishing access location in the Crum Creek watershed is Smedley Park. For more informaton, see a list of accessible fishing locations in our watersheds.

Trout Stocking
Due in part to the presence of native trout, but also the lack of public accessibility in the Upper Watershed, there is no stocking of trout by the PA Fish Commission in the Crum Creek Watershed. For a full listing of sites and dates stocked by the Fish Commission in other CRC watersheds, click here.
Local Fishing Organizations
DelcoManning Trout Unlimited, Delaware County Field and Stream, and Delco Anglers are three local organizations which promote the enjoyment of local fishing and implement trout stocking and habitat enhancement projects. TU and Delco Anglers have also worked with CRC on streambank restoration projects along the lower Ridley Creek.
