Fishing in Chester Creek
The middle section of the Chester Creek watershed is a well utilized trout stocking fishery.
The PA Fish and Boat Commission, with help from Delco Field and Stream, Delco Manning Trout Unlimited, and Delco Anglers, stocks nine miles of the Chester Creek, including the lower portions of the East and West Branches and the Main Branch from Thornbury to Brookhaven, with thousands of trout. Rocky Run above Darlington Road supports a native wild brown trout population (DEP, 1989).
It is hoped that CRC's efforts with its partners will continue to build awareness and improved stewardship of this valuable resource.
